The Senior Expert Programme (SEP) is one of the four instruments in the Netherlands (NL) - CGIAR research programme. The research programme is related to the partnership agreement between the Government of the Netherlands and the CGIAR System Organization to cooperate on contributing to transformational change in agriculture around the world by advancing food system knowledge and joint public and private innovation. The partnership agreement consists of core funding for certain knowledge domains within the CGIAR System Organization, as well as a number of instruments that focus on strengthening Netherlands-CGIAR research cooperation. Four of the five instruments, including the current call for SEP candidates, are managed by NWO-WOTRO via the NWO NL-CGIAR research programme.
