WWX WOP Indonesia (Oasen)

Oasen shares its knowledge with water company Sragen in Indonesia. In addition to increasing knowledge about, among other things, reducing leakage loss and about the construction methods for new water pipes, we have also been thinking along with sustainable improvement in business organizational matters over the past four years. For example, we helped with customer focus, management systems and human resources. Over the past two years, we have contributed to the construction of drinking water pipes to areas that do not yet have access to the public drinking water supply. After the Indonesian water company installed the main pipes in Jenar in early November 2020, 800 homes have now been connected. Global knowledge exchange Phase 2 (2022-2026) builds on the partnerships, lessons learned and results of phase 1 and aims to further strengthen the performance of the partner companies with the aim of reaching an additional 3.5 million people. Moreover, local water companies are now able to share their knowledge and experience with fellow water companies in their country and region. With WaterWorX, the Dutch drinking water companies not only want to make a significant contribution to the sustainable development goal of 'access to sustainable management of water and sanitation for everyone', but we also want to initiate a worldwide movement of knowledge exchange between water companies.
