  • autorenew Implementation (Status)

In October 2017 the Mozambican Water Platform (PLAMA) submitted to the Embassy of the Netherlands a funding proposal to implement the activities for the PLAMA project. The funding proposal was approved with the condition that the Log frame prepared in 2017 should be revised and harmonized by the new PLAMA executive team. PLAMA as the leverage body of the private sector’s initiatives will strengthen the role of the sector within the economy by promoting its inclusion in the planning, financing and development of sector opportunities whilst assisting in mitigating the constraints facing the sector. A strong cooperation between PLAMA and the private sector will benefit the economy overall. A better-organized water sector can lobby for and implement more effective and concerted actions to improve water security for all of Mozambique’s citizens. Providing a platform where public and private can meet will contribute to future goals of the Mozambicans water sectors based. By providing this platform, initiatives will improve, water security and water safety can be addressed more holistically and accurately.
