SLDP aims to contribute to the sustainable socioeconomic poverty reduction of the communities living in the Gorongosa National Park (GNP) and the surrounding districts Gorongosa, Dondo, Nhamatanda, Cheringoma, Muanza and Maringue (i.e. the Buffer Zone (BZ)), with an emphasis on women and youth. In addition, the program will contribute to reforestation and biodiversity restoration.
