  • autorenew Implementation (Status)

Rusizi II border post carries most of the heavy trucks traffic between Rwanda and DRC, particularly to Bukavu. At Rusizi II smaller-scale traders are underserved and prefer ti use Rusizi I. The existing border offices on both sides cannot support the implementation of the OSBP concept in terms of the process for cargo and passengers. Therefore, apart from OSBP office facilities which will be constructed to facilitate the movement of cargo and passengers, other cross border programmes to support small cross border traders will be implemented as well. The implementation of Intergrated Border Management (IBM) at Rusizi II border will facilitate the smooth and efficient cross border movement of vehicles and passengers between Rwanda and DRC congo
