To counter inefficiencies in trade facilitation in Uganda, The Government of Uganda intends to set up a National Electronic Single Window whose membership comprises of revenue and port authorities, cross-border trade certification agencies and the private sector. National Single Windows provide a single point for cross-border traders to submit trade documents and using ICT, they submit this information online to the relevant agencies. These documents include customs declarations, applications for import and export permits and other supporting documents such as certificates of origin and trading invoices.;Reduced Barriers to Trade
