The project aims to help the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) in decarbonising the electricity requirement of the city of Patiala through renewable energy sources - hybrid of solar, biomass, etc. Further, the project involved designing conducive policy and incentive framework, preparing project implementation strategy, DPR, collaboration between UK and India, bid advisory support, skill development roadmap and stakeholder outreach.
