Jurnalisme Aman (hereafter JA) project aims to create safe and enabling ecosystem for Indonesian journalists to freely conduct their journalistic works and free from the risks of violence and harassments directed towards journalists both offline and online. In the long run, the project aims to also contribute to support free and independent media and journalism in Indonesia. In achieving the objective, the outcome of the project has been twofold: effective complaints-handling mechanisms for journalists established and safety of journalists becomes a priority for all stakeholders. The two strategies aimed to support the digital and physical ecosystem that are safe for journalists in conducting their works.
