Subaward for 1.3 - Responsible Recruitment Platform for Safe Migration in Bangladesh

In this project, ELEVATE will lead a Consortium with Diginex and Winrock to develop and trial a Responsible Recruitment Platform (RRP). The RRP will empower workers to successfully navigate their migration journey while securing their rights and minimizing unnecessary fees. Once registered on the system, prospective migrant workers will have access to 1) digital educational information about how to ensure safe migration; 2) digital documentation to upload and verify documents such as contracts, visas, and receipts for any fees paid; and 3) online grievance channel to report issues in their recruitment process. The functionality of these interrelated technologies raises migrant awareness to reduce vulnerability to deception, reduces the risk of unethical contract practices, and ensures incidents do not go unaddressed by increasing visibility to their end-to-end migration experience.
