Disaster Relief Exercise (DISTEX) training takes place in a specially adapted site in HM Naval Base Devonport. Its aim is to provide training in order for HM Ships to assist communities if affected by a disaster, man-made or natural, civil war, hurricanes, earthquakes or volcanoes for example. This training is classed as non-country specific as we are not able to ascertain which country would receive our assistance.
