CSSF Maldives Security and Justice

The objective of the project is to provide sustained three-year support to Government of The Maldives (GoM) to strengthen and transform the security and justice sector, in coordination with BHC’s Counter Terrorism Programme and other donors, to drive reform, cross institutional linkages and interoperability, that will contribute to the overall improved effectiveness of the security and justice sector. This will support the judiciary, wider criminal justice sector, police, Maldives National Defence Force and correctional service, to embed and sustain democratic reform, build the confidence of the public, professionalise the services, improve inter-operability and promote community policing on all islands. This will enable the judiciary and GoM to protect the state from internal threats and ensure the safety and security of the people.
