Peace Building Support to the Post Conflict Needs Assessment

The UK Government\'s Department for International Development, DFID, has set aside ???35 million over 4 years to address key security, justice and rule of law aspects of a joint donor - Government of Pakistan regional development strategy, titled the Post Crisis Needs Assessment (PCNA). Coffey International has been contracted by DFID as sole contractor to lead and manage Peacebuilding Support to the PCNA (PSP) Programme. The programme is divided into two phases, the first being for a Design/Inception Phase, and the second being an Implementation Phase. Coffey has successfully delivered the entire first Phase contract and is now undertaking the remaining long term Implementation phase. The programme works with a range of formal justice authorities including police, prosecutions, prisons as well as community-based partners including non-formal justice actors. With each of these partners PSP supports policy and procedures revision, institutional development, delivers structured training and on the job mentoring.
