Now and the Future: Gender Equality, Peace and Security in a COVID-19 World

This will be a two-phase programme in 8 countries. GAPS,GAPS members and partners will develop, launch, disseminate and embed the findings of 8 country briefing papers and an overarching summary paper which outline the short and long-term impacts of COVID-19 and make recommendations to the international community that are relevant to COVID-19 response and future pandemics and crisis. The country briefings and overarching summary paper will provide sound gendered-conflict analysis by consulting with women’s rights organisations and civil society. The 8 countries are at different stages of the conflict cycle and geographic regions to ensure they represent the range of COVID-19 impacts. GAPS will work with its INGO members and their partners to ensure the programme; its findings and its outputs has a wide-range of expertise that are context-specific. This consortium will be led by GAPS using the same model as GAPS has used to undertake projects and programmes previously where it brings together national and international partners to influence national and global policy and programmatic change on Women Peace and Security.
