Alert will work to support stakeholders in Benue and Bauchi to implement State Action Plans (SAP) on UNSCR 1325. We will identify, capacitate and support a network of women mediators who will take tangible action on peace and security issues. We will engage with legislative, security and judicial actors to facilitate strategic policy-making that accounts for gender dynamics in dealing with conflict issues. We will support and amplify messaging that promotes normative change around women’s participation and leadership in decision-making on peace and security.
