Evidence-Based Constituency Building and Transitional Support to the GPH-NDFP Peace Process

This project highlights the need to further strengthen public support, political momentum and the foundation for a GPH-NDFP constituency. Quick wins achieved by Alert in the previous year should likewise be continued and further deepened to strategically maximize the possible advantage lent by the transition to a new administration. These include, 1) data gathering and analyses of violent conflict in South and Eastern Mindanao, 2) undertaking stronger advocacy initiatives that are evidence-based and responsive to the current status of the formal negotiations, or the lack of it, and 3) strategically mobilizing peace constituencies established in Metro Manila, Northern Luzon (Abra, Ifugao, Baguio) and Mindanao (Compostela Valley, Davao City)
