ERMES Decriminalising Peace in Mali

The action proposed is designed to contribute to the sustainability of peace in Mali, in which the EU has invested considerably. It is designed to transfer cutting-edge expertise on tackling organised crime to strategically placed individuals involved the follow-up to the Algiers Peace Accord. It could lay a foundation for a larger follow-up process of researching, supporting and monitoring Mali’s efforts to tackle organised crime as part of building peace in the immediate post-conflict phase, working with larger sections of society.
