Support to vulnerable communities and conflict sensitive reintegration efforts in Northeast Nigeria – Phase II

The project will contribute to the development of social cohesion at the community level in both displaced communities and in local government areas over a 24-month period to address major peacebuilding challenges at the community level in the post conflict environment. Specifically, the efforts will provide: • Increased capacity to local leaders for peacebuilding and non-violent conflict resolution; • Support to women, girls, and children who have been associated with JAS through victim support sessions and referral to relevant services (health care, psychosocial support, counselling, family reconciliation, educational and vocational training opportunities); • Support to the families of women and girls who have been associated with JAS through victim support sessions and family dialogue sessions as well as referral to relevant services (health care, psychosocial support, counselling, family reconciliation, educational and vocational training opportunities); • Small Scale Initiatives for women and girls to reduce their economic marginalization and increase their social cohesion; • Support to community reconciliation activities through intra and inter-community dialogue (in collaboration with trained religious and community leaders) with affected communities; • Public awareness on peacebuilding and stigma reduction and sensitisation to through radio programmes, including call in shows • Continued analytical understanding of challenges to social cohesion through peace and conflict assessments
