The project focuses on promoting the safety, integration and access to services for women, girls and their children who were born out of sexual violence in their current communities – either in the IDP camps or the host communities - as well as preparing communities for the returns of this group encountered through military operations in the North East. The partnership also recognizes the changing community dynamics that might arise as displaced communities return to their local government areas and the risks of violence, stigmatization and reintegration to which this might expose the mothers and their children. The project will focus on intensive engagement with community leaders and communities and the establishment of platforms for dialogue to allay their fears, address their concerns and promote reintegrate of this highly vulnerable group of women, girls and children.
