The project aims to contribute towards gender equality in Zimbabweand with a particular emphasis on girls education. Thusand it intends to contribute to increased educational accessand transition and successful completion of quality lower secondary education by girls in Chiredziand Mwenezi and Chipinge districts in Zimbabwe by 2014. The project is expected to contribute to increased recognition by duty bearers of the value of girls education so that gender disparity between completion of primary and lower secondary education by boys and girls is drastically reduced. Pass rates among girls are also expected to improve significantly following successful implementation and completion of this project.
