"Based on the success of the South Asia WASH Results Programme to date, the significant overachievement against output targets (delivered between Apr 2014 and Dec 2015) and based on DFID’s commitment to reach an additional 60 million people with access to water and sanitation by 2020, DFID have agreed a cost extension with Plan International UK for continued work under SAWRP in Bangladesh. This cost extension continues to be funded under 100% Payment by Result (PbR) modality. The reporting principles applicable to the current SAWRP will be similar to those for the cost extension but will take into account new DFID requirements. Additional discussions with the DFID appointed independent verifier will allow Plan International UK, in consultation with SAWRP partners, to finalise reporting and verification details. Inception phase discussions will also ensure that learning from the current SAWRP is integrated into the cost extension reporting and knowledge management systems and processes. This work will be implemented by WaterAid in Bangladesh and Plan International Bangladesh. Plan International has proposed to reach an additional 653,045 beneficiaries in Bangladesh, 617,835 of which will gain access to sanitation and 117,419 of which will gain access to water."
