Building community solutions, maximising the power of the Paralympics to overcome stigma and promoting Inclusive Design. This cluster has several elements, including: (1) Build on lessons from London 2012 capturing the effect of the Paralympics on enabling a shift in attitudes across sub-Saharan Africa (2) Work with communities and stakeholders to improve accessibility and inclusion of the built environment through the development of international case studies to highlight the opportunity and cost-effectiveness of Inclusive Design (3) Develop mechanisms for the amplification of the views of AT users as well as their capacity (4) Support ATscale (the Global Partnership for Assistive Technology) to catalyse change, amplify existing work, and facilitate access to AT. This work is led by GDI Hub, University College London, Loughborough University, ATscale and the International Disability Alliance.
