The programme is working towards improving the coverage of nutrition-specific interventions in the country, and is focused on three key areas: micronutrient supplementation, treatment of Severe Acute Malnutrition, and Infant and Young Child Feeding. Complementary activities include the procurement and distribution of nutrition commodities, creating demand for nutrition services, capacity building of health care workers, support for the revision of the government's National Nutrition Policy, and strengthening information management for nutrition.
