Expert Advisory Call Down Service - Initiating the Concluding Phase of SPFMSP component of SGSP

Four out of five components of SGSP have already been completed. The SPFMSP was scheduled to close in June 2019. DFID recently decided to extend the programme for another 12 months (now to be closed on 30 June 2020). Under the SPFMSP component, the Government to People (G2P) payment system has been successfully piloted and is currently being rolled out. This project has made SP transfers significantly more efficient as the payment goes directly from treasury to beneficiaries through electronic transfer. Given the high level of demand (created by this project) from all line departments to fully integrate all systems, GoB has committed to delivering this (much earlier than planned) and is investing resources to generate data from millions of social protection beneficiaries.
