Livelihood Diversification through Sorghum and Green Gram Value Chain Development

To promote and develop sorghum and green gram value chains in order to strengthen the capacity of communities to mitigate the impact of and ability to recover from recurrent droughts through sustainable income generation. Examples of activities include: the strengthening of the green gram seed system; the establishment of 40 new producer groups; the development of a network of farmers groups; and the identification of 12 sorghum and green gram agents.;
