Empowering Media for Inclusive Governance (Liberia)

This project will focus on strengthening the role of the Liberia Women Democracy Radio (LWDR FM 91.1) and 35 journalists in educating the public and highlighting issues critical to women’s wellbeing in Liberia. This project will expand the station’s reach, providing women in other counties the opportunity to benefit from the station’s enriching programs. It will also train a number of journalists in specialized reporting with emphasis on gender sensitive reporting and legal frameworks and policies that promote women’s rights. This project is co-financed by Womankind (through the DFID PPA) and another donor. The costs published represent only the Womankind PPA component. ;
