Increased protection and support to women survivors of violence in 4 districts in Sierra Leone

The project aims to work in 4 districts comprising 8 rural communities to eliminate violence against women by directly supporting women to be active participants in calling for the realisation of their rights and gender equality. It will achieve this by working with women to heal wounds, access support services, empower them and protect their human rights. It will also address the discrimination and culture of impunity that exists by increasing public awareness of women’s needs, and improve policies and practices from public officials and service providers. This project is co-financed by Womankind (through the DFID PPA) and an additional donor and the costs published represent only the Womankind PPA component. ;
