The aim of the project is to improve peace and security of women and families, which contributes to implementation of MDG3. This will be achieved by empowering women to take action regarding peace and security, raising awareness with public offcials, iincreasing public awareness on the impact of political violence on women and the importance of women’s participation on peace building in Zimbabwe. The project will also increase awareness in the UK of the challenges and importance of women’s participation as part of building sustainable peace and decreasing poverty. The change that this project will achieve is that it will contribute to the building of sustainable peace and increased security for women and their families, necessary conditions for achieving MDG3.;
