The Girl Generation (TGG) - Support to the Africa-led movement to end female genital mutilation (FGM): technical support ALM-FGM

ActionAid’s scope of work is to deliver a number of girl-centred, interconnected interventions at different levels of the social ecological model, as per the programme’s Theory of Change: At community level: in designated agreed geographies, ActionAid will lead the delivery of a targeted package of interventions at community level to support communities to end the practice, and build the evidence base towards the programme’s intended results At sub-national and national level: to support and strengthen mechanisms to respond to issues of violence and FGM/C as well as support the enabling policy environment through supporting women’s networks, girl and youth led organisations, and holding duty bearers accountable Globally: to support the programme’s global communications and advocacy goals through leveraging ActionAid’s work at community level and with its grassroots partners in the end FGM/C movement ,e.g. amplifying activists’ voices, sharing positive stories of change
