Supporting Independent Financial Analysis for the Humanitarian System

The project supports the publication of the Global Humanitarian Assistance (GHA) report and ensures the continued availability of independent, high-quality financial analysis for the humanitarian sector. With the closure of the organisation that originally published the GHA, there is a risk of fragmented and agenda-driven reporting, but ALNAP’s integration of the GHA with the State of the Humanitarian System (SOHS) offers a credible, efficient, and stable platform to carry this work forward. Over the next two years, ALNAP will produce two annual GHA-style reports, along with a more in-depth funding trends report within the 2026 SOHS, and targeted briefings for decision-makers, ensuring reliable data, actionable insights, and better use of evidence for policy and operational improvements.
