Pioneering a Holistic approach to Energy and Nature-based Options in MENA for Long-term stability - PHENOMENAL

The project will support the work of the UK governement, as planned in the COP28 UAE Declaration on Climate, Relief, Recovery and Peace. In particular, ODI will support the establishment of a coordination mechanism which will work through and align with existing mechanisms and platforms in the Fragile and Conflict-affected Situations (FCS) sphere. In addition, ODI will establish two country dialogues in FCDO MENA priority countries, currently Syria and Yemen, with the aim to support FCDO efforts to improve access to and utilization of climate finance in MENA countries through a deeper understanding of barriers to access both on the demand and supply side and clear pathways for UK engagement with governments and international partners.
