  • autorenew Implementation (Status)

This project uses a social marketing approach to make improved sanitation available and encourage the setup of revolving funds (locally called Kalulu) to enable people to purchase latrine slabs. This is backed up by hygiene promotion (HP) with a focus on dignity, pride and health. The project will also train twenty teams, of two people each, from 20 rural communities on: business management, basic accounting, concrete working, and equip them with the tools and materials to sell sanitation platforms ('sanplats') commercially in their communities. The project will also supply sanplats to 200 of the poorest people.
