Integrated multi-sectoral humanitarian assistance to flood affected communities in Pakistan

“Integrated multi-sectoral humanitarian assistance to flood affected communities in Pakistan,” project was implemented through a consortium of national (HANDS) and international (WHH, IMC and Cesvi) organizations, led by Welthungerhilfe. The project supported a total of 33,957 HH (237,700 beneficiaries) in 7 severely flood affected districts. The project aimed to reduce adverse impacts of floods and strengthen the rehabilitation capacities of affected communities in the intervention districts of Baluchistan and Sindh Provinces in Pakistan. Through this project, the most vulnerable flood affected households in selected villages were supported to withstand the immediate life-threatening impacts of the flooding, meet their basic humanitarian needs (physical and mental) as well as become aware of their entitlements and rights in this emergency situation.
