This two-year programme focuses on improving the livelihoods of over 4,000 farmers and their families by training them in both agrarian and business skills and by establishing demonstration plots to show how the skills can be applied. Village Savings and Loan Associations are also supported and strengthened. The programme builds and expands on previous programmes in the area, and works with the "Village Educator" approach- training a smaller group of farmers with the intention that they pass on what they learnt to the wider community, by means of demonstration and sharing.
