Reducing preventable deaths of children with cancer in Ghana by improving diagnosis, strengthening the health care system and improving nutrition

In Ghana, less than 30% of children with cancer survive compared to 80% in high income countries. The project aims at improving the chances of 2,760 children with cancer to survive and have the best possible health outcomes through: raising awareness of childhood cancer symptoms to increase diagnosis rate; addressing barriers preventing children to access, and remain in, treatment; and improving the nutrition of children going through cancer treatment as it is key to ensure positive treatment outcomes.
