Emergency intervention to respond to the Specific Needs (protection/health) of People with Disabilities and/or injury in the IDP population in Iraqi Kurdistan

The following activities have been undertaken under this project: • Identification of people with disabilities and injuries and their specific needs according to HI and international standards; information sharing with UNHCR and IDP registration mechanisms to ensure compliance with protection standards; • Analysis of, and response to individual specific needs and definition of personalized support and rehabilitation plans through the Disability Focal Point DFP mechanism; • Priority access to emergency cash and/or in-kind support for the most vulnerable PWDs and injuries identified by the DFP mechanism through Special Needs Fund (SNF) including provision of mobility aids/assistive devices and the access to existing services (services fees, transportation and any related costs etc.); • Direct, technical support to essential services providers to ensure mainstreaming and inclusion of persons with disabilities and injuries within the emergency response. ;
