DEC Afghanistan Crisis Appeal

Emergency response through lifesaving assistance and re-establishing of livelihoods for conflict and drought affected households in Helmand, Badghis and Bamyan provinces, Afghanistan. Activities consist of the following: Multi-purpose cash assistance for those displaced or acutely affected by the crisis, inc. winterization cash support at the outset of the crisis, support to flood affected households in Helmand in January, and earthquake affected households in Badghis in February; Livelihoods restoration (inc. training and supply of agricultural equipment for farmers, cash for work on agricultural projects); Creation of community-based disaster reduction committees
