Protection services will address the immediate risks faced by vulnerable groups in this emergency setting where multiple families may be forced to live together in tents or in the street. NFI assistance will help affected households access critical items that may not be immediately available in the required quantities in markets accessible to the affected households. Hygiene and water treatment kits will address immediate hygiene needs and help prevent the spread of disease. Dignity kits for vulnerable women containing loincloths, cotex, hygiene products, underwear, slippers, and soap will help reduce their vulnerability to protection and health risks. Unconditional emergency cash assistance will help affected households meet needs not covered through other forms of assistance, giving them more flexibility in order to meet the specific needs of each household. It will also prevent households from having to sell food and NFI assistance in order to meet immediate cash needs.
