A surge of violence in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) drove large numbers of Congolese and displaced Burundians in DRC into Burundi. IRC is providing emergency protection services and material support for the most vulnerable in transit centres in Burundi. In particular, these services focus on separated and unaccompanied minors, survivors of GBV, and people with specific needs in the transit centres
