AAH will initiate activities in Odessa and Mykolaiv in order to gradually expand programmatic reach in the South while building on existing work in the East, in particular around Kharkiv. The strategy for Odessa and Mykolaiv will be to utilise AAH Spain’s presence in Moldova and existing partnerships and logistical capacity. In the initial months, AAH Spain will conduct cross-border operations through its partners in Moldova and Odessa. AAH Spain and AAH France have planned a joint assessment in October (security permitting) to kick-start interventions, update understanding of the needs, strengthen partner relationships in Odessa, and prepare for a longer-term presence.
