Project Aim: Health System Strengthening and Building Resilience at the Community Level to Mitigate the Impact of COVID-19. Research Objectives: Objective 1: To guide and support government health facilities with emergency medical equipment supply Objective 2: To equip the community with resources and skills to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 Activities Obj. 1 – Outcome A Coordinate with the appropriate healthcare officials at the district level to understand the needs of the healthcare facilities Coordinate with the appropriate healthcare officials to accordingly develop a logistics plan for purchase and delivery of the equipment Conduct timely procurement and delivery of the required equipment to the identified government health facilities Routinely conduct follow ups to ensure the provided resources are functional and meeting the established needs Activities Obj. 2 – Outcome B, C & D Coordinate with the local healthcare system to develop a list of beneficiaries in need of home care kits Conduct delivery of the home care kit and food baskets to the targeted beneficiaries Provide training and counselling for the families that have received the home care kit and/or food baskets Conduct Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) Develop modules and IEC materials that cover the domains of home-based care inclusive of tracking signs, symptoms and vital parameters, monitoring of patients for danger signs, ensuring adequate nutrition for recovery and wellbeing. Conduct tele-counselling to the beneficiaries for practicing preventive actions against COVID-19, to identify signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and protocols to follow if signs and symptoms are noticed, to ensure they are able to use the provided emergency resources Provide referrals to the beneficiaries in case of identified signs and symptoms and simultaneously coordinate with frontline healthcare workers to ensure that beneficiaries are able to access the required care and treatment Conduct community-level mobilization and awareness drive for the importance of vaccination and getting vaccinated through the camps Facilitate online registration of the beneficiaries to be eligible to get the vaccine Conduct mass awareness in camps around COVID-19 infection prevention and control Beneficiary Numbers: 13,400 total WASH – 1,500; Health – 11,900; Food - 750
