Project Aim: Provide vulnerable, conflict-affected communities (IDPs, returnees and host) provided with basic food and livelihood assistance, nutrition and health assistance and WASH assistance. In each of these three areas, there will be a life-saving pillar and a road to resilience pillar. The consortium will provide life-saving assistance through the provision of protection and conflict-sensitive multi-sector humanitarian assistance and immediate food security, nutiriton, health and WASH assitance. It will support the most vulnerable households suffering from acute malnutrition Outputs: Output 1: Vulnerable conflict-affected communities provided with basic food assistance Life Saving Cash Assistance (Pillar I); gender cash assistance programme addressing immediate food needs of the most vulnerable groups. Strengthening Resilience through Sustainable Livelihoods Opportunities (Pillar II); Rubble clearance, rehabilitation and restoration of community assets (roads, flood control, irrigation); provision of agriculture, horticulture and livestock inputs; climate and disaster resistant rehabilitation. Output 2: Vulnerable conflict-affected communities provided with nutrition and health assistance Life-saving Nutrition & Health Assistance (Pillar I); supporting MoPHP health facilities for provision of CMAM and deploying mobile teams . Establish/revitalise CHVs and build capacity; promote IYCF and health and hygiene awareness Strengthening Resilience through Improved Access to Sustainable Health and Nutrition Services (Pillar II); Building local capacity; rehabilitation of health care facilities, development of community health networks; facilitate access to integrated reproductive health services; Output 3: Vulnerable conflict-affected communities provided with WASH assistance Life-saving WASH assistance; Cleaning and deepening of wells; water pumping equipment; emergency latrines; rehabilitation of sanitation systems in public facilities; gender sensitive hygiene promotion sessions Strengthening Resilience through Improved access to sustainable water and sanitation services (Pillar II): Repair and rehabilitate water sources, solid waste management systems and latrines; this rehabilitation will engage unskilled labour through CFW/FFW.
