Project Aim: The project will focus on activities that contribute to reducing the vulnerability of the population affected by Hurricane ETA in targeted communities through the provision, rehabilitation and improvement of basic WASH services along with essential food assistance, protection and prevention against COVID 19 and other risks associated with health. The division of activities will be done geographically to avoid duplication of work and improve efficiency: Trocaire and its partner Centro Humbolt are in charge of activities in Bilwi, ACH and GVC in Prinzapolka and Plan in Waspam for shelters. Outputs: Food assistance: TROCAIRE and PLAN will work with 3,367 people. 1- Delivery of basic food of first responses taking into account essential elements of SRH, gender and inclusion, and risk groups WASH: it will be worked by the three organizations and will reach 12,067 people to improve access to drinking water at the domestic level in isolated communities and to improve environmental sanitation for families living in emergency settlements, public buildings and isolated communities. 2- Delivery of purified water supplies taking into account essential elements of SRH, gender and inclusion, and risk groups 3- Water purification, installation of water tanks and distribution of drinking water at the community level 4- Monitoring of water quality and consumption in the communities 5- Rehabilitation and cleaning of boreholes and wells used in community water distribution systems. 6- Awareness on the treatment and storage of household water and hygiene promotion campaign in emergency settlements and public buildings for displaced people affected by floods 8- Delivery of a feminine personal hygiene kit and awareness about the prevention of pregnancy and gender violence. 9- Delivery of a hygienic COVID19 prevention kit in shelters, friendly spaces and families of special vulnerability Protection: it will be worked by PLAN and will reach 1975 people 10- Printing of posters and materials for awareness-raising talks in child-friendly spaces, in response to the emergency. 11- Snacks for girls and boys during awareness talks in friendly spaces in response to the emergency 12- Powdered milk as a nutritional contribution for girls and boys. 13- Psychosocial Attention to NN with playful methodologies 14- Awareness talks to parents about violence prevention, gender and inclusion.
