The activities included in the RRF proposal are anchored within a wider BRCiS collective COVID-19 preparedness and response plan. This specific RRF proposal will mainly focus on COVID-19 hotspots with high number of IDPs living in highly congested areas and strengthens the area-based approaches of the members who are implementing work from two DFID funded consortia (BRCiS and Danwadaag). The RRF will include Mogadishu, Kismaayo, Baidoa and Hargeysa where scale-ups will be crucial to complement the existing efforts. All activities link directly to the four objectives of this project which are: 1) Frontline workers are capacitated and equipped to respond to COVID-19 Pandemic; 2) Limit human-to-human transmission and protect individuals from exposure to COVID-19; 3) Ensure continuity of delivery of essential services to BRCiS communities (for COVID19); and 4) Ensure that vulnerable households are able to meet their basic needs.
