1. Mine Action and Cluster Munitions Programme 2016 -2020

In response to the Dutch Government’s call for proposals for the Mine Action and Cluster Munitions Programme 2016-2020, the HALO Trust is delivering projects which will focus on providing stability and security in Afghanistan, Colombia, Palestinian Territories (West Bank), Somalia, Syria and Kosovo in support of ‘The Theory of Change for the security and rule of law policy priority in fragile situations’, and the international response to the current global migration crisis. HALO will conduct four out of the five activities listed in the Dutch Government policy framework, and will deliver the following outputs: Mine Risk Education, demining, Victim Assistance and Stockpile Destruction: In collaboration with national authorities, land cleared will be returned to impacted communities for productive use, including for agriculture, infrastructure, community development, and residential use. This project will also introduce a range of thematic and technical innovations over a four year period which will have a substantive impact upon the management and efficiency of the outputs delivered under each country project.
