Our expectations for communication are changing. We no longer want to be informed. We want to be engaged. That’s why ‘engagement’ is the key element for WWF’s communication under the new strategic partnership agreement with Danida. The aim of WWF’s development communication is to build on the Danes’ excitement and admiration for unique nature, ecosystems and wildlife to create support and sympathy for the engagements that comes out of WWF’s strategic partnership with Danida. The idea is to use the fascination of nature as a hook to engage and inform people about our work within sustainable development, drawing on the experiences and knowledge of our partners in the global South.
