Overall objective of the country engagement: Enhance the abilities of refugees to access social protective services that prevent negative coping mechanisms resulting from the multi-faceted crises. The long-term changes (outcomes) of the country engagement 2022-2025: 1. Vulnerable refugees including SGBV survivors have their basic needs met in CL Shelters through improved access to protection services in including case management and provision of emergency cash and protection. 2. SGBV women survivors are empowered during their CL Shelters residency with life-skill activities, rights awareness, and Cash for Work (CfW) opportunities to enhance livelihood skill and introduce employment prospects. 3. Vulnerable refugees are more resilient and self-reliant due to have improved access to job placement and income generating activities (IGAs) through skills training, soft skill trainings and awareness sessions. 4. Social cohesion is enhanced through involvement of Lebanese host community and Syrian Refugees in Local community solidarity development projects targeting both Lebanese and refugees. 5. Continued political support to meeting minimum protection standards for refugees via CL’s engagement as co-lead of the protection cluster and other working groups. 6. CL has successfully addressed all gaps mentioned in their CIMS improvement plan, incl. the 5th standard (safeguarding), and has continued to enhance CHS compliance.
