We wish to give 10th graders in Denmark an insight of Indigenous rights and climate activism in Thailand and Malaysia, and how youth to youth inspiration can motivate local change. Two volunteers from OD will travel to a regional activist camp in Phuket, to meet with indigenous youth from across Asia. The workshop will be created together, with ODs knowledge about Danish youth, and the indigenous peoples knowledge about their practices and rights. The workshop has two parts. The first part will focus on who indigenous people are, their connection to the forest, as well as the challenges they face. Then, the students will be introduced to solutions such as nature restoration, documentation and their sustainable practices.
