Youth Leader Exchange program (YLE) to the SUMH SAU ABC project

The objectives of the Youth Leader Exchange (YLE) is to strengthen the SUMH-SAU partnership, empower YWD’s and encourage them to be part of the community where they live. The YLs will be attached to the ABC project where the main objectives are to support and create empowerment and confidence, break the isolation and increase the knowledge of Youth with Disabilities (YWD), and create inclusive communities and employment opportunities through vocational training among YWD. This project has been active in 3 districts (Sironko, Mpigi and Oyam) in Uganda since 2020 and is ending in August 2023. The YLs will play a key role in supporting the implementation of ABC project activities which shows the community and other YWD that youth and disability inclusion is important.
