The Youth Leaders (YL) will work on the project RESPEKT, which is a partnership project funded by DUF working to increase awareness of and ?education on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) amongst teenagers in Kenya. The aim of Youth Leader Exchange (YLE) is to create sustainable change that will strengthen the main activities of the project by having a team of 5 YLs (2 Danish and 3 Kenyans) working together full-time from August to January. The YLs also aim to establish a beneficial collaboration with TAMIDA, an IMCC project in Tanzania, to create sparring and transfer of knowledge between the YLs of each project. The key focus of the YLE in RESPEKT will be to (1) strengthen the knowledge and skills of the RESPEKT volunteers at a Sustainability Convention of team building and Training of Trainers. (2) Collaborate with RESPEKT?s advocacy docket in preparation for the Final Conference in the last project phase by increasing advocacy. (3) Build a sustainable initiative that nurtures and supports the mental health of the volunteers of the project.
