Women Lead in Emergency, Myanmar (Northern Shan State)

Through the Women Lead in Emergency (WLiE) approach, the project fostered crisis-affected women’s engagement, empowerment, and leadership in humanitarian decision-making. Women’s groups were supported to identify their own needs, develop action plans, and lead their implementation, thus enabling a transition from passive to active collaboration with each other and with community-leaders to address community needs. The implementation of action plans provided both aid relief and awareness raising for the communities.
